Everyone should be quick to listen. James 1:19

How can we show love and honor to each other through the challenge of getting healthy? One way is to listen to each other. James urges us to seek to understand (by listening) and only then try to be understood. Listening includes paying attention to the other person's body language and tuning into their emotions.
A proverb goes farther, urging us to listen barefully to wise people who speak correction into our lives: "Like an earring of gold...is the rebuke of a wise judge with a listening ear." (Proverbs 25:12)
Who do you know who needs a good listening ear? Is there someone at church, in your family, at work, who can't seem to get a word in edgewise? Who can you show your love by asking, "How are you really doing?" and then listening to thies answer? Be a safe person who is willing to listen without judgment to the challenges others struggle with. One of the greatest gifts you can offer someone is your listening ear.
