We live by faith, not sight. ~ 2 Corinthians 5:7
Sometimes we hold on to thjings that we don't want to release into God's hands. It might be a possession or a habit or a relationship. We hold on because we can't imagine living without it and we don't trust God to handle it properly. Yet, God is a trustworsthy God. God is loving and compassionate. If we give something up, God will help us live without it. God is a God of abundance not scarcity and deprivation. God invites us to entrust everything into God's embrace and to live by faith, not by sight or control.
God sees more than we can. Our vision is limited by space and the present moment but God knows the past and future as well as the depth of the human heart. So we can trust God. We can let go. We can live by faith in the one who loves us deeply and calls us to our best selves.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Living by faith means we don 't have to weighed down by things that are not good for us, and things we are not meant for us to hold onto.
